This is not your mama's heat sink mounting kit! Made up of the finest, beezar-selected components, this kit is made to mount your transistors to provide the finest, longest lasting mechanical and thermal connection to your heat sinks.

*** NOTE: When ordering for the MAX/MiniMAX, don't forget that you need a mounting kit (with shoulder washer) for the LM317 in the power supply! ***

Each kit includes the following:

4-40 x 3/8" Socket Head Cap Screw - SAE black steel
#4 Flat Washer (2) - 18-8 Stainless Steel
#4 Lock Washer, Stainless Steel, split-ring
4-40 Steel Nut
Bergquist adhesive-backed thermal pad (no grease required)

No other commonly available thermal pad provides the combination of ease of installation and superior thermal conductivity.

- The 4-40 socket head cap screw is sized at the minimum length required - no trimming needed in tight spaces. For added convenience, the socket head may be torqued with a key in tighter spaces. Further, the knurling on the socket head is substantial enough for gripping with pliers - allowing torquing in an absolute minimum space that no screwdriver can reach.
SPECS: 4-40 x 3/8", Standard Head Style, Alloy Steel, Black Oxide Finish. Hex Socket Drive Size 3/32", Decimal Equivalent-0.094 in. UNC Thread Type, Right Hand Direction, Head Height 0.112 in. Head Dia. 0.183 in. Thread Class 3A, Rockwell Hardness C38-43. Minimum Tensile Strength 180,000 psi, Meets ASME/ANSI B18.3.
- The flat washers are 18-8 Stainless Steel
SPECS: 18-8 Stainless Steel, Plain Finish, Fits Bolts Sizes #4, Inside Dia 0.125 In, Outside Dia 0.312 In, Thickness 0.032 In, Thickness Tolerance +/-0.007 In, Rockwell Hardness B70.
- The split-ring lock washer is Stainless Steel for longevity and ruggedness.

- The nut is SAE standard compliant.
SPECS: 4-40 Hex Nut, Type Machine Screw. Low Carbon Steel, Zinc Plated Finish, Grade Not Rated. Thread Type UNC, Right Hand Thread Direction. Width 1/4 in., Height 3/32 in., General Purpose. Meets/Exceeds ASME B18.6.3.
- The thermal pad is Bergquist Hi-Flow 115-AC
SPECS: Color Gray, Fiberglass Reinforcement, Thermal Impedance 0.37 deg.C.-square inch per Watt at 25 psi. Thickness 0.0055 in., Elongation (%45 to warp and fill) 40. Tensile Strength 900 psi, Continuous Use Temperature of 150 deg. C., Phase Change Temperature of 65 deg. C. Dielectric Breakdown Voltage 300VAC, Dielectric Constant 3.5 at 1000 Hz, Volume Resistivity 10E+10 Ohm-Meter, Flame Rating V-O. Thermal Conductivity 0.8 W/M-K.
