These resistors are perfect for the output resistor positions on the MAX. They can get you very close to the sound quality of Kiwame boutique resistors at a fraction of the price! Buy several of the values we have at beezar to find out what size works best for you. Then, spend your bucks on the Kiwames at that size. Or better yet, just keep the Stackpoles, instead. You may never notice the difference.

Good for "tempering" some of the tube noise and/or slight harshness that may exist in some MAXes, very small values may work even better than jumpering the output resistors. Larger values can work to attenuate the high gain for those lower impedance headphones with a minimum of loss in sound quality. Applied correctly, they can "sweeten" the sound and highs rather than detract from them.

At these prices, they are worth experimenting.
