This is it! The Starving Student Millett Hybrid (SSMH) Printed Circuit Board, version. The Starving Student Millett Hybrid is Pete Millett's outstandingly high-performance, yet inexpensive, tube hybrid headphone amp design. Originally a point-to-point design, Dsavitsk has updated the circuit and created a PCB design for the utmost in simplicity and ease of construction. Now the famous Starving Student is easier to build than ever! Full details and building construction may be found on Head-Fi.org in the Starving Student PCB Build Thread.

The Starving Student PCB uses a unique method of construction utilizing the Hammond 1455N1201 enclosure as the basis for its case design. The board is populated silkscreen side up, except for the tube sockets, which are mounted on the other side. This technique allows the most depth for parts selection while keeping both tubes completey exposed above the top of the case, a desired feature for most tube amps. In addition, this construction also completely encloses any 48VDC connections completely inside the case.

Like the famouse Millett Hybrid MiniMAX, Beezar has also teamed up with Hammond to provide a custom-punched case for the Starving Student Millett Hybrid. When combined with Dsavitsk's PCB, there is nothing to do but solder and assembly.

This kit includes all needed parts, tubes, power supply, and the Beezar/Hammond custom-punched case. Details can be found in this BOM: http://www.diyforums.org/SSMH/SSMHbom.php

Parts supplied are those found in the Mouser column on the BOM spreadsheet, along with Beezar-specified parts: including Muse ES caps for C7/C8, ceramic tube sockets (pins removed, glued and ready for LEDs!), LEDs, power supply, PCB, hardware, and tested 19J6 TUBES (subject to the conditions above). The one exception is that DigiKey-sourced Panasonic FC caps will be used for C1 and C6.

Parts are also identical to those shown in the photos for the Black case, except:
* No tube hole bushings (not required with the custom case)
* No front panel LED bezel and led
